Resveratrol-gives you energy you didn't know you had at 40

By: Graham Foster..

Im guessing you could have heard about Resveratrol probably in connection with the drinking of red wine to improve your health. What you might not know is Resveratrol is an extremely powerful antioxidant found in plants which is being claimed to slow down or even reverse the signs of aging. One study has demonstrated that Resveratrol can extend the life of mice by as much as 30 percent which would be around 35-40 if applied to the average human lifespan.

I've recently uncovered more evidence that this antioxidant may be the most versatile and powerful anti-aging supplement (with the possible exception of CoQ10 when considering its versatility of use at least) you can take.

The most recent published studies by the Intitute of Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology have demonstrated that resveratrol gave mice extra energy to be able to run twice their usual distance. It was almost as if their energy cells were boosted their muscle were energized, their heart rates dropped and their endurance almost unexplicably increased as if they had been training for some while.

A French study carried out by Professor Johan Auwerx a certified clinical specialist in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition chief researcher and professor at the Medical Faculty of the University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg stated " Resveratrol makes you perform like a trained athlete without any of the work." . Other studies in Finland also indicate that resveratrol will be just effective on humans as it is mice.

Almost by accident it was also discovered that those mice which were given resveratrol did not contract diabetes and suffer from obesity as it appeared to protect them from gaining weight and illness associated with such problems

Another benefit was a boosted sensitivity to insulin (which is usually influenced by the aging process) . By reversing the decline of the bodies effectiveness at controlling insulin as a direct result there is an increase in weight control a reduction in the risk of diabetes and significant impact on the damaging effects of aging.

Ignoring the rather obvious source of Resveratrol associated with drinking red wine there are a number of other good sources of the wonder supplement. Good sources of Resveratrol include blueberries, cranberries, bilberries and perhaps more shockingly peanuts. I discovered that Resveratrol is infact much easier to take in supplement form and my favorite source after some searching has been the formulation by First Health Rejuvanol who recommend a 150mg dosage.
