Partner snoring

By: Ray James

Millions of people today snore. Snoring is producing unpleasant sounds during sleeping. The root cause of snoring is vibration of tissues in the respiratory system, which causes obstruction in the air movement while sleeping.

The following are several causes of snoring:

Causes of snoring

Snoring is also commonly caused by obesity, i.e. excess fat. The fatty tissue in the back of the throat and the neck makes it difficult to breathe. Behavioral and environmental factors can also influence snoring. Sleeping on back makes the problem of snoring more worse. Due to the gravity the tongue slid backwards to the back of the throat which limits the airway.

Exposure to smoke can cause snoring, restricting and irritating the respiratory tissues and causing difficult breathing. People can also inherit the problem of snoring by hereditary. You inherit narrow passage which causes snoring. Anything that makes the muscles relax and promotes drowsiness like the alcohol which narrows the air passage and restricts the air to flow easily which encourages snoring.

Various behaviors can make snoring better or worse. Sleeping on the back can cause snoring as the pharynx which is a muscular tube relaxes while sleeping. This cause narrowing of the airways which cause snoring. Smoking irritates the respiratory system and exposure to the second hand smoke relaxes the muscles, which can cause the problem of snoring. People who are overweight are more likely to suffer from snoring problems, as they have more fatty tissues in their neck, leading to vibrations of the loose tissue. Certain lifestyle factors can make snoring worse. Obesity and lack of fitness lead to snoring difficulties since it leads to more fatty tissue in the throat that can vibrate with breathing blockage.

There are many ways to cure your snoring. Some of the effective ways to cure your snoring problem include: * Losing weight. This will help you cure snoring by reducing the fatty tissue which is present in your airways. * Steam inhalation. This clears your nasal congestion which helps you to cure snoring. Nasal congestion obstructs the airflow, leading to vibration creating noisy breathing. Steam inhalation with essential oils can also cure snoring. *Avoiding alcohol before sleeping. Alcohol is a muscle relaxant which causes the throat muscles to relax while seeping. * Nasal strips can cure snoring by keeping open your nostrils which help you to breathe more easily. You should use a nasal strip for 6-7 nights for better results. Changing your sleeping posture can also help you cure snoring problems. You should make it a habit on sleeping on your side as sleeping on your back can cause you snoring problems. Snoring sprays which are commonly know as throat sprays coats the soft tissue of your throat. It is recommended to not to eat or drink for 30 minutes before and after using the throat spray. * Changing sleep position. Developing a habit of sleeping on your side can help your partner end snoring.
