Improve Memory By Self Hypnosis: First You Must Believe

When you think of hypnosis, you probably think of a stage act where the hypnotist makes willing participants cluck like a chicken or shiver when he tells them it's getting cold in the room. However, did you know that you can improve your life by engaging in self hypnosis? That's right.
Self-hypnosis can help you with many bad habits, such as smoking. It can also help you get rid of depression and can even improve your memory. For example, self-hypnosis will help you improve your memory by allowing you to get past mental blocks that might be preventing you from remembering things accurately. You can do this with a self-hypnosis, all by yourself. It's a relatively simple process to learn and once you get it down, you can learn how to do all sorts of things. Let's start with improving your memory, however.
First, Close Your Eyes and Just Relax
If you want to begin to improve your memory with self-hypnosis, close your eyes and relax your body. Breathe deeply and rhythmically until your pulse slows down and you feel your body relax. If you're having trouble relaxing, concentrate on your toes and follow yourself mentally all the way up your body to your head, telling yourself to relax each body part slowly and surely. As you do so, concentrate on each part until it is fully relaxed before you move on to the next. Once you have done this, take a deep breath once again and count backwards from 10.
One way to do this is to imagine yourself at the top of a staircase descending the stairs. You begin with "10" at the top of the stairs, followed by "nine" as you descend to the next step, then eight, seven, six, and so on. Once you hit the bottom, which will be "zero," you should be relaxed and in a light trance. Here, you begin to improve your memory by using self-hypnosis.
Give Yourself Some Commands
Once you are in the trance, you can improve memory by self hypnosis by repeating commands to yourself. Tell yourself that you are going to improve your memory. Later you will find that you have no problems with remember information that you need.
You see, when you are using self hypnosis and you command yourself to improve your memory, you actually are saying this to your subconscious. This allows you to get rid of blocks or interruptions. You can even command yourself to get rid of any mental blocks that are causing you problems.
This is a wonderful way to make your memory better that really provides with results. However, for it to work, you have to believe that you can improve memory by self hypnosis, which is one of the most important parts of the whole process.
There are also video and audio tapes you can buy that will help you improve your memory by self hypnosis. They will give you step by step instructions to help you relax and then will command your subconscious to improve your memory. Again, however, you must believe that it will work if you want it to. In no time at all, as long as you do this again and again, you will begin to remember more than you ever imagined possible.
