Benefits Of Outbound Calls

By:

Telephone solutions for businesses usually have their inbound and outbound calls billed separately. Whilst it is important to receive calls from customers, it is not so to make outbound calls, although these should be important as well. When choosing a telephone company to provide your business with effective phone service, don't neglect to check if the outbound calls of the package you are applying for have their own benefits as well.

Which benefits should you look out for then? When analysing the benefits of these outbound calls, you would naturally look for a company that offers huge savings on standard national and international tariffs. If you're smart, you may find a company that offers up to 70% savings. But you must look beyond that and see what else the service has to offer you.

* There are several phone companies that will blind you with low tariff rates yet disguise additional costs that you may not even be aware are possible on your phone line. These "hidden costs" can even be justified on face value, although deeper analysis will show that there is no need for these additional hidden rates at all. For example, you may be billed a connection fee. Sounds sensible, until you realise that your package for inbound calls has already taken care of the connection charge, and you shouldn't receive another charge for the same service.

* There is also such a thing called "Call Set up Charge", which the company will bill you for allowing them to set up your call to the line you would like to reach. Perhaps in the Middle Ages, with operators on standby, connecting you to a complicated switchboard, this would have been an exceptional service, but not so anymore.

* It would be wise to look for an outbound call solution that bills you per second instead of a monthly rate. That way, you'll only pay for the calls you make and not a second more. Also, you won't be compelled to keep using the phone to make outbound calls. This will contradict having a business phone to receive calls, if your line is so busy in order to justify the rental for outbound calls you pay each month.

* There are companies that work with BT phone lines so that when making outbound calls, your number can be seen on the caller display of the person you are calling. This is great for your business as it projects a professional image and encourages more return calls to your company.

Another feature that you should look for when applying for a business phone, especially if you already have a phone line and you would like to transfer to a different phone company is if it will allow you to keep the number you already have. This will prevent confusing already existing customers who know your number by heart. Some telephone companies won't charge you a set up fee if you're transferring from another company, so be sure to ask about set up charges also.
